Jamie Kendrioski is a Boston-based artist working primarily in oil and acrylic paint.
Jamie's work is driven by curiosity and a desire to explore the world from different perspectives. Moving fluidly between abstraction, representation, landscape, and other subjects, he approaches each piece with an openness to discovery rather than a predetermined outcome.
Working without a fixed end point, Jamie allows colors to intermingle and forms to emerge over time. His paintings often develop through observation, intuition, and an evolving creative process. Sometimes the result is recognizable and grounded in place or form; other times it is more interpretive, inviting viewers to find their own meaning and connections.
For Jamie, painting is a way of shedding inhibitions, embracing uncertainty, and discovering unexpected forms of beauty through the creative process itself. His work invites viewers to slow down, look closely, and engage with both the familiar and the unexpected.
Jamie holds a BA in Studio Arts and an MAEd from Marietta College in his home state of Ohio. He has lived in Boston with his husband since 2010.
